Sledding!

We took the girls sledding a couple of weeks ago.

Bella wasn't too excited at first, but she warmed up to it.

Bryndi had a great time.

She even got right back on after she biffed it.

Long happy day.

Dear Blog,

Sorry that I don't have a new post. Bella is sick and so none of us have been getting enough sleep.

Dear New Camera,
Sorry I don't use you more often. It really is a shame.

Dear Camcorder,
Sorry I don't use you more often. My girls should be captured on film and their mom isn't doing it!

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thanks for the great day. Exhaustion or not, I was spiritually filled today and it feels good! I taught a lesson in church (relief society--the women's class) on Forgiving Ourselves and I learned a lot. Not to mention that a lot of the material I got for the lesson was from an hour long program on forgiveness that just happened to be on TV when I turned it on in the wee hours of the morning with my crying baby. Here is my favorite quote from the lesson:

It has always struck me as being sad that those among us who would not think of reprimanding our neighbor, much less a total stranger, for mistakes that have been made or weaknesses that might be evident, will nevertheless be cruel and unforgiving to themselves. When the scriptures say to judge righteously, that means with fairness and compassion and charity. That’s how we must judge ourselves. We need to be patient and forgiving of ourselves, just as we must be patient and forgiving of others. -President Howard W. Hunter (1907-1995)

Bring it on Wildcats

This is my brother Gavin and his girlfriend Mandy. They are on the National Champion Weber State Cheer squad! I went to their performance at a competition last Saturday and these are some pics I took. They are so amazing!!

They threw this girl way up there!!

Do you like green eggs and ham?

So I know it isn't St. Patrick's Day. But we had green eggs and ham for breakfast. These eggs don't have any food coloring mind you. I put the raw eggs in the blender with raw spinach and whipped them up before I scrambled them. Perfect fun way to get veggies in the morning! (PS-- if I put spinach or any other vegetable in her scrambled eggs or omelets Bryndi picks them out. This way she eats the whole thing!)

Bella caught in the act

We had some candy in the cupboard above the microwave and I came up the stairs the other day to see this! She pushed a barstool over there, climbed up on it, and then onto the microwave! Needless to say, we moved the candy.

Bella without binky.

Binky coming.

Success.

Isn't two better than one?

This little girl has curls.

Her hair does this for a while if I scrunch it with my fingers after her bath!

Fire and Snow

Richard got a fire pit for Christmas and we all roasted marshmallows in the backyard. Yum!

On another evening the girls had fun having a snowball fight with their Dad.

Peas in a pod...well, a green laundry basket anyway.

Christmas

Has it only been two weeks since Christmas? Here are the few pics I took. Terrible. I get this great new camera and I only take a few pictures! Oh well.

Bryndi loved all of her presents of course.

Bella loved hers too. I think she's making a face because she wanted to open this right away.

Holding their new babies.

We enjoyed having Daneen with us for Christmas. The girls got some fruit loops in their stockings! They were so excited! I think that was their favorite treat.

This butterfly jack-in-the-box was definitely a favorite.
