Bryndi's 4th birthday

We did a Hawaiian luau theme for Bryndi's friends party. It was so fun to make these little flip flop invitations. When the girls arrived, they got a lei and a name tag with their Hawaiian name. Bryndi's is "Palineki".
We played pin the coconut on the palm tree. The kids did so well! All of them got the coconuts on the tree!
I didn't do so well at taking pictures. We played musical chairs and hot potato (with a banana).

We taught the girls the hula. Since we only had one skirt, they took turns.
Alanna.
Grace.

Annie.Carolina.
Eliza.
Brooke.
She was a professional at the hula.

Palm tree cupcakes.

She got such fun presents!

I love that Grace is putting the flower tiara on Bryndi.

The swingset and the hammock were big hits. What a fun party--and I survived 12 little girls! Thanks to Laura for helping and thanks to everyone who came!

For Bryndi's family party I made a chocolate cake with neon mint green frosting and Andes mints on top. I was so happy when Bryndi decided that she wanted chocolate with green frosting instead of the Sleeping Beauty cake she originally asked for!

Cousin Tabitha.
Cousin Benjamin.
Cousin Kaylie.
Cousin Zac.Cousin Mariah and Aunt Monica.

Cousins McKenna and Holly.

Bryndi was so excited to get a bag full of brushes, combs, clips, and elastics for one of her presents.

Bella-isms

This afternoon I went up to Bella and gave her a whole bunch of kisses on the cheek. When I was done she said, "Thanks for loving me, Mom!"

Later out of the blue she said, "Happy Best Friends Day, Mom!"

She's a keeper.

In the tree

The girls were climbing in our tree the other day so I decided to play with the camera.

Bryndi Braves Dentist Office!

These teeth got 3 cavities filled today. Without tears, needles, struggles, or laughing gas. The dentist did a thing called airbrasion where he takes a "sandblaster" instead of a drill to get to the cavities. No pain=no numbing needed. Then he put in the filling, glue, and sealed the teeth. Bryndi was SO good during the procedure. She cooperated and helped and was so brave. The dentist said he wished he had videotaped her so he could show other patients how its done! Way to go Bryndi!

Fairy Tale Dance Class

Bryndi started her Fairy Tale dance class a couple of weeks ago.

The first class was a Cinderella theme. Most of my pictures didn't turn out, but here she is in her Cinderella dress. The 8 little girls were so cute dancing around with their magic wands to bibbety-bobbety-boo.
Last week's theme was Mary Poppins. This class is so adorable!

Little red tutus.

And lacy white parasols. This pose is my favorite.

Most of the girls in the class are from our neighborhood.

The smile says it all!

Yellowstone!

We took our little princesses on a camping trip to Yellowstone a couple of weeks ago. We really had a great time. I was amazed at how good the girls were! They thought it was so fun. When you ask Bryndi what her favorite part was, she says, "Sleeping in a sleeping bag!" The girls were so thrilled to sleep in a tent in their own sleeping bags, that they would lie awake at night just giggling.

We saw several bison, but not really any other animals.

"If I could just scratch my neck!"

Tin Foil Dinners A la Richard:

Place on tin foil--
Cabbage
Thinly sliced beef
Cream of Mushroom soup
Green onions
Carrots
Hash Browns
Mushrooms
Corn
Salt and Pepper
Building the fire.
We stopped in Lava Hot Springs on the way up. This is the only picture I took. I do NOT recommend floating down the river with toddlers! Bella will tell you how she and mommy went under when our tube flipped over! HIGHLY not recommended!

Climbing the tree by our tent.
Messy hair, but still a cutie.
Bella LOVED drinking out of Richard's camelback.

I'm really not sure what this pose is all about. This place has different colored steam coming off the pool.
And this pose. What is that Bryndi, a gang sign?

Ol' Faithful

Bella's favorite spot.

Bryndi had an occasional turn too.

Many pools of boiling water around here. Weird.

Gotta love the mud volcano! Sign says, "Stay on walk". Yeah, I think that would be a good idea.

Okay, this is just breathtaking.
But even this looks better with Bella in it!

This is the only video I took. It's at the Dragon's Throat. I seem to remember dragon sounds coming from this cave, but for some reason, it didn't pick up on the video. ;)

I was there too!

Happy to be home!
